¤ TCO ARBOREAL PODS ¤

Following is a description of the unique enclosure system I created to house my Emerald Tree Boa Collection. TCO Arboreal Pods offer a simple method for housing all sizes of Emerald Tree Boas. TCO Arboreal Pods allow for quick cleaning and open access to pod interiors. Perches and perched Emeralds are easily removed when necessary. It should be said that this is simply one way of housing Emerald Tree Boas. As long as an enclosure can provide and maintain the few essential physical requirements of your snakes, you can manipulate other variables to personal preference.

The basic concept involves uniting two Cambro polycarbonate tubs together to form a pod. The upper tub just rests on top of the lower tub. For the larger adult size pods, hooks are attached to the upper tub that allows the upper tub to be hung on the wire shelving above. This allows the lower tub to be easily removed for cleaning. The smaller pods for neonates and juveniles are extremely simple in design using the same unification concept.

Additionally, adult pods each have a misting nozzle to maintain proper humidity levels and simulate a winter rainy season. Some adult pods are also fitted with a heat panel to provide a basking spot for gestating females.
